Abhijit Chaphekar- CEO, Managing Director India
Abhijit Chaphekar, Co-Founder & CEO of Softenger, is an industry veteran with two decades of experience in the IT industry. His process-driven approach for evaluating situations helps identify focus areas and execution strategy for business results. He has successfully built cross-functional (technical) teams that delivered exceptional results for the customer. He is approachable and anyone can approach him to discuss any topic.
IT process automation (ITPA) and Automated software testing are key areas of growth for Softenger. Under his leadership, strategic collaborations were created with foreign partners to strengthen our capabilities.
Abhijit holds a BE (civil) degree in from MIT (Pune). He worked in India and the Middle-East as a civil engineer. He switched to IT on his return to India.
Madhav Kolhatkar- Managing Director of Singapore
Madhav Kolhatkar is the Managing Director of our Singapore operations. He holds a degree in BE (Mechanical) from College of Engineering Pune. He joined Tata Electric as a maintenance engineer through campus placements. During his stint with Tata electric, he managed maintenance of hydropower plant & equipments and later moved to Engineering department to work on Thermal Power Plant Projects.
With an entrepreneurial dream in mind, he moved to Pune in 1996. After creating a successful footprint in the market while Trading of Engineering Goods & materials, he moved to contribute for building School educational materials, project launched by few eminent scientists to encourage students to pursue career in pure science. In 2001 Madhav happenchance to meet with our founder Suresh Joshi. Mr. Joshi persuaded him to switch fields to IT. He joined Softenger in 2001 as a technical trainer and progressively took on higher responsibilities. He moved to Singapore in 2005 to take charge of our operations.
His CRM skills, transparent, fair and consistent employee practices, Softenger got success in Singapore and earned the trust of our clients. Madhav admired and followed these words, “It is not important for a person to have answers to all questions asked. It is more important to make honest efforts to find an answer.”
Abhijit Ranade- Director of Sales and Marketing
Abhijit Ranade, a fascinating leader of Softenger, is a Mechanical Engineer from University of Poona. He subsequently acquired an MBA in Marketing from Symbiosis, Pune. A Traveler by heart, he spends his vacations travelling to different places of cultural and historical significance across the globe.
He joined Essar Steel as management trainee through campus placements. His initial responsibilities were to explore export markets for steel products. Progressively, he took higher responsibilities and managed to lead exports in South Asian and Middle East markets. In 1996, he joined ARBED (A Luxembourg based leading European steel producer), to head their Marketing & Sales functions for South Asia region. In 2000, he joined the ESSAR for building an online channel for steel distribution, called ‘Clickforsteel’.
Having gained extensive skills in Sales and Management experience, he joined Softenger as a Vice President of Sales and Marketing in 2003. He helped us de-risk our business by increasing our client base across India and Southeast Asia.
At Softenger, as a Director of Sales and Marketing, he now formulates business strategies, creates service offerings, develops and maintains relationships with key clients.
Gopalaswamy Pathangi- Director of Softenger Malaysia
Gopal is the Director of Softenger Malaysia and has built our Malaysia operations from scratch. He is associated with Softenger since July 2008 and moved to KL to set up the Malaysia Operations in 2011.
He worked in Oman and Saudi Arabia in the sales function before joining softenger. He brings to table his expertise in general administration, IT hardware/solutions sales & support, business development, client relationship and accounts management.
As a Philomath person, he is always interested in learning and sharing knowledge. Gopal holds a degree in Bachelor of Economics from Madras University and holds the diploma in IT management from AIMA, New Delhi. He also pursued certification in Project Management Professional, PMI, USA and in Lean Six Sigma Green Belt, IASSC, UK.
