 Job Description : Job Description– Responsibilities and Scope of Work of work for TSM onsite support at SBI
Enterprise Data warehouse Project DC/DR
• IBM Onsite Support Team will perform following actives as part of day to day onsite
support operation. Complete detail is given below.
• TSM Backup Software Brake Fix Support onsite at DWP Environment Belapur, and
Hyderabad site by TSM L1/L2 system admin team and based on Software
subscription with IBM Passport advantage in place, IBM onsite team will manage
critical brake fix support on case to case basis.
• IBM TSM Admin team will do TSM backup Software system administration onsite on
Daily Backup Operation service. Following tasks can be performed by onsite
engineer.
o Daily TSM Schedule backup/Manual backup operation and monitoring of
application and database server’s backup with TSM based on Customer
Business operation (EDWP) needs in EDWP Solution Environment.
o Periodically audit of TSM Backup operation at both the Side DC/DR
c. Periodically run the backed-up data restoration process based on
customer’s business needs in to Staging Platform area provided
Staging area should there in place or Customer provided server with
necessary CFR request approved by customer.
d. Daily/Weekly/Monthly/Yearly Backup Operation Report submit to
Customer as part of TSM system administration task
e. Periodically TSM server and Clients environment health checkup
and necessary tuning based on backup/restoration loads.
o Onsite Backup Operation support with good L1/L2 TSM System Admin Skills.
o Periodically Software Fix-pack/maintenance patch apply based on
Problem/troubleshooting back to back support with TSM Software PMR
Support team.
o Backup Performance Monitoring for All the TSM clients installed and
configured in various Application and database servers.

o TSM Server’s Database Monitoring and periodically housekeeping of TSM
server’s database and logs,
o Tape Management of TSM Clients backup and periodically Tape Library
Audit from TSM server
o TSM server’s and TSM Clients version upgrade/Fix pack apply based on IBM
Passport Advantages Support matrix guidelines with necessary CRF
Approved by customer (SBI) in place.
• Candidate Profile:
o Candidate must have worked for TSM Implementation and Support running
on various Platforms Specifically AIX, Windows and VMWare Environments.
Should have hands on experience for configuration of LANFree and LAN
Based Client configuration and Implementation.
o Minimum 3-4 years of hands on experience on above technology with BE / B
Tech in Electronic Engineering, Electronic and Telecommunication
Engineering, Computer Engineering, BSc IT,BCA and MCA.
