Softenger was established in 1989 as Software Engineering and Design (SEAD) in Pune, India. Our initial projects focused on training in programming with a special emphasis on the "C" language. These projects were followed by opportunities to work along with Nucleus Software on Credit Card Software for Citi Group.

The relationship with Citi grew rapidly on account of the value that Citi perceived in the quality of the resources that we provided. Citi was followed by other clients such as Credit Suisse, UBS, Shinsei Bank and others within the financial services vertical, and we are proud of our on-going, multi-year engagements with these clients.

SEAD became Softenger in 1998 and after expanding initially within India through an office in Chennai, we have continued expansion through our Singapore operations established in 2003 and US operations established in 2008.
