Designation : Load Balancing Level 3 Support Engineer
Job Description : The perspective candidate will be expected to be execute the following
as a part of his day to day responsibilities :
a.) Interface with clients to understand the exact solution requirement and then design a
solution involving Load Balancers based on client requirement. May have to interface with
multiple client teams like Networks, Application as a part of the client requirement gathering and testing process.
b.) Configure and install new load balancers on clients network, do the necessary documentation if needed.
c.) Prepare scripts for routine maintenance activity which can then be executed by the operations team . Routine maintenance work may involve Firmware upgrade, modification of exiting configuration , addition of new configuration etc on LB’s.
d.) Take escalation calls involving any critical, non critical issues on LB’s and help resolve the issue.
Skills Required : The following skill sets are desirable from the perspective candidate :
a.) More than 5 years of overall networking experience with 2-3 years of exp in handling on any of the following LB’s : F5 BIGIP LTM V9.X /F5 BIGIP GTM V9.X.
b.) Should have at least 2 full implementation cycles on any of the above mentioned Load balancers which should include overall solution designing , configuration, documentation , knowledge transfer and handover of the load balancers to the client /monitoring team.
c.) Should be well versed with handling routine day to day maintenance activities on the above mentioned Load Balancers which may include but not limited to activities like firmware upgrade, addition on new configuration , deletion of old configuration etc.
d.) Should have good L3-L4 troubleshooting skills including ability to analyze TCP dumps and should have good understanding of basic networking concepts .
e.) Should be willing to work in rotational shifts including night shifts.
f.) Should be willing to act as an oncall engineer as and when required.
g.) Any of following certifications are mandatory:
F5 LTM V9.X basic ( F5 PC)
F5 LTM V9.X advanced ( F5 SE )
F5 GTM V9.X basic ( F5 PC)
F5 GTM V9.X advanced ( F5 SE ) |
