One of our prestigious banking clients is looking for an Oracle Database Administrator.
The Regional Deploy and Operate Team are responsible for deployment and day-to-day operational services in the space of IT infrastructure and it is based APAC, EMEA & Americas region. Regional Services DBA team, which is based on Singapore, provides 24X6 support to Bank’s mission critical infrastructure (Unix/Windows/Databases).
Responsibilities of the Role
This role includes, but is not limited to fault investigation, resolution and escalations of all monitoring alerts and user initiated problem calls, Development Requests, project related works etc.. In addition to the support element of the role there is a development responsibility for ensuring the operation’s efficiency is maximised through automation of processes and operational improvements through trending. It is essential to the success of this role that the incumbent establishes and maintains relationships with regional deploy and operate teams within three regions. These staff will have very strong technical knowledge within Distributed Computing, [UNIX, Windows, Web, Databases] and demonstrate an understanding of how timely responses to alerts support production stability.

Relevant working experience in similar DBA production high volume environmen
Other Information
Shift work (24 x 6) will be required on a rotating basis to support team members. It requires 9 hours shift schedule.
Qualification Essential
Very good knowledge of the Oracle database environment
Good understanding of Oracle 9i , 10G , Oracle RAC
Good understanding of Unix commands
Qualification Desirable
Very good knowledge of MS SQL Server environment
Good understanding of oracle on linux environments
Good understanding of ASM , RMAN , Streams
